Although Mr. Gabehart regularly performs appraisals for purposes of matrimonial dissolution, estate and gift taxation, shareholder/partner disputes, ESOP’s and more, one recent area of specialization lies in the realm of transactional appraisals including analysis in support of pending "SBA-guaranteed financing related to business acquisitions".
Mr. Gabehart has performed more than 200 summary or full length appraisals for a large number of different financial institutions including Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Excel Bank, US Bank, Cornerstone Bank, Conestoga Bank and others. References are readily available and pricing/turnaround is competitive. Rapid completion or “RUSH” assignments are welcome.
Having spent many years as a business broker and middle market specialist, Mr. Gabehart has a keen appreciation of the unique nuances associated with valuations involving the purchase/sale of going concerns with SBA-guaranteed funding.
Mr. Gabehart has valued or appraised several hundreds of businesses of all types since 1991. Depending on your needs and budget, Mr. Gabehart can provide clients with varying degrees of analysis and depth with respect to valuation services:
Full Length Formal Appraisal
A full length formal appraisal involves a thorough evaluation of both the company and the relevant industry or industries. The costs typically range from a low of approximately $3,000 to as high as $10,000.
Summary appraisals are less involved in terms of analysis and presentation (more limited scope of service), but involve much of the same background investigation and analysis. The cost here will range between $2,000 and $3,500.
Letter reports, on the other hand, do not require the same degree of investigation and verification as do full length or summary appraisals. Recommended in situations where the customer is already familiar with the subject business and seeks a “quick” opinion as to a probable “range of value” without full written documentation.
